Learning Objectives

In this course, we talk with Dr. Tia Jackson-Bey, a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with RMA of NY. Dr. Jackson-Bey speaks frequently on reproductive justice and increasing access to fertility care and she is a member of the ASRM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce.

Participants will be able to:

  1. List 3 health conditions more prevalent in the African American community that can impact fertility. 
  2. List 2 reasons Black and Latinx woman are more likely to delay seeking treatment for infertility. 
  3. List 4 other reproductive health issues where there are racial disparities. 
  4. Describe 2 things infertility nurses can do to increase patient access to and comfort with fertility care.
